• Milk that is handled properly, cool quickly to 36 degrees and kept cool during transport - my rule of thumb is 10 days.

Tips - Keep in glass jars, half gallons are ideal .
The less you open the jar, the fresher it will stay.
Transport in a cooler with ice packs to maintain the temperature.
Side Note - 3 weeks was the longest I've had milk stay fresh!

Raw milk produced for human consumption is carefully handled and considered a low risk food.

  • Lactase, Lipase, Phosphatase, Lactobacillus to name a few.
These enzymes and bacteria do not harm your body. They help you body digest the milk.

Lactose intolerant people can normally drink raw milk due to the enzymes/bacteria still intact (pasteurization kills these). It helps break down the lactose in milk.
